The more I talk to my friends about the "credit crunch" situation, the more we agree that it is the governments of the world that are acting as the nutcracker, rather than more abstract and unstoppable forces at work. My wife and I are not rich, but we are responsible with our money and hardworking, supplementing our regular incomes with added side-projects. I find it very odd that the economic downturn seems to be benefitting massive conglomerates (you don't see Walmart closing its doors) and rich businessmen who can now buy up shares while they are on the slide. I can't help but think that it is always the same lot of people who get richer, and this economic slide is an orchestrated ruse by those in powere to maintain their grasp over us. Unfortunately, it is the real people who get hurt along the way.
